Williams Co.- (WMB)-engages in the production, gathering, processing, and transportation of natural gas in the United States. The company operates through four segments: Exploration and Production, Gas Pipeline, Midstream Gas and Liquids, and Gas Marketing Services. As of December 31, 2007, The Williams Companies had proved natural gas reserves of 4,143 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent. The company was founded in 1908 and is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
