The world’s need for energy seems to know no end. Thanks to our growing population, continued reliance on technology and devices as well as the growing middle class of the emerging world, energy demand has skyrocketed. And while efficiency efforts are happening, we still need more power sources. Increasingly, demand has met via low-carbon sources and renewables like solar and wind.
Yet, despite the promise, renewable energy stocks have fallen flat over the last two years.
The question now for investors is whether or not renewables offer a strong long-term entry point or if this is the end of the boom? For our portfolios, it may be a little from column A and a little from column B.
