Putting Your Dividends to the Test

It was a great day for bank stock investors at the end of June. All but one – sorry Morgan Stanley (MS ) – of the nation’s largest banks and financial institutions managed to get an unconditional passing grade on their annual stress test from federal banking regulators. These so-called stress tests were enacted after the recession as part of Frank-Dodd in order to make sure the major banks wouldn’t need any sort of ‘help’ during another crisis.
