    Early on Wednesday, analysts at Goldman Sachs resumed coverage on Jabil Circuit, Inc. (JBL) , giving the electronics manufacturer a "Neutral" rating as it is expected struggle over the next few quarters. The analysts see shares of JBL reaching $22, which suggests a slight upside to Tuesday's closing price of $21.90. "We expect Jabil's fundamentals to be pressured over the next few quarters as it substantially ends its business with Blackberry (12% of revenue in FY12)," Goldman Sachs analyst Mark Delaney noted. "In addition, we are concerned that Jabil has lost share even excluding Blackberry, as (1) Jabil's revenue outside of Apple has declined in each of the last two years and (2) Jabil's Healthcare segment revenue has declined yoy for five straight quarters while Plexus' Healthcare revenue has grown yoy for five straight quarters." Jabil Circuit shares were down 22 cents, or 1.00%, during pre-market trading on Wednesday. The stock is up 13.53% year-to-date.

  • Jabil Circuit Posts Higher Q4 Revenue and EPS; Beats Estimates (JBL)

    After the bell on Wednesday, Jabil Circuit (JBL) announced its fourth quarter and full year earnings. The St. Petersburg, FL-based electronics manufacturer posted net revenues for the quarter of $4.8 billion, which was up from last year's $4.3 billion. Analysts were expecting the company to report revenue of $4.51 billion. For earnings, the company reported Q4 core diluted earnings per share of 56 cents, which was up from last year's EPS of 54 cents, and also above analysts' estimates of 54 cents. The company reported full year revenues of $18.3 billion, an increase from last year's figure of $17.2 billion. For EPS, however, the company saw a decline with this year's core diluted earnings per share coming in at $2.26, down from last year's $2.40 per share. Looking forward to fiscal Q1 for 2014, JBL sees core diluted earnings per share in the range of 50 cents to 60 cents, and revenues in the range of $4.35 billion to $4.65 billion. JBL shares were up 29 cents, or 1.22%, at market close on Wednesday. The stock is up nearly 21% YTD.
