Green Bankshares- (GRNB)- provides various commercial banking services primarily in east and middle Tennessee. As of August 8, 2007, GreenBank had 62 branches across east and middle Tennessee; a wealth management office in Sumner County, Tennessee; and a mortgage banking operation in Knox County, Tennessee. In addition, the bank also provides consumer finance, sub-prime automobile loans, and title insurance services. The company was founded in 1890. It was formerly known as Greene County Bancshares, Inc. and changed its name to Green Bankshares, Inc. in May 2007. Green Bankshares is headquartered in Greeneville, Tennessee.
