  • Deutsche Bank Downgrades International Game Technology to "Hold" (IGT)

Due to the stock's substantial year-to-date run, International Game Technology (IGT) was downgraded by analysts at Deutsche Bank on Friday. The analysts downgraded IGT from "Buy" to "Hold" and see shares reaching $22. This price target suggests a 6% upside to the stock's Thursday closing price of $20.67. "Post an extended run in shares on relatively in line core fundamentals and transaction activity in the space, we are downgrading IGT to Hold from Buy and leaving our $22 PT (~8% upside from current levels) unchanged," Deutsche Bank analyst Carlo Santerelli stated. "At present, we believe expectations for increasing capital returns to shareholders are priced in, but note that industry fundamentals, namely in the gaming ops segment, are likely to become more challenged, thereby curtailing the free option in the stock for a turn in yields. At this stage, we see a largely balanced risk-reward, but believe industry challenges will curtail the multiple expansion story and we struggle to see F14 EPS estimates going higher from here." IGT shares were down 66 cents, or 3.19%, during pre-market trading on Friday. The stock is up 45.87% year-to-date.

    The Bottom Line

Shares of International Game Technology (IGT) offer a dividend yield of 1.94% based on Thursday's closing price of $20.67 and the company's annualized dividend payout of 40 cents per share. • Sterne Agee Raises Price Target on International Game Technology; Maintains "Buy" Rating (IGT)

Analysts at Sterne Agee noted on Monday that International Game Technology's (IGT) fiscal 2014 growth is stronger than it appears. As such, the analysts raised the price target on the casino gaming equipment manufacturer. The analysts maintain a "Buy" rating on IGT and now see shares reaching $25, up from the previous target of $23. This new price target suggests a 23% upside to the stock's Friday closing price of $20.32. "Excluding FY13 Canadian VLT sales, which do not recur in FY14, consensus FY14 EPS growth is ~14% versus 'in-print' consensus EPS growth of ~4%," Sterne Agee analyst David Bain said. "We believe IGT's peer-low stock valuation is partly driven by a misinterpretation of forward growth using 'in-print' FY14 EPS projections." Futhermore, the firm raised IGT's fourth quarter EPS estimates from 33 cents to 34 cents. IGT shares were inactive during pre-market trading on Monday. The stock is up 43.4% year-to-date.
