  • Wells Fargo Starts Coverage on Kimberly Clark at "Market Perform" (KMB)

On Tuesday, Wells Fargo reported that it has initiated coverage on Kimberly Clark Corp (KMB) . The firm has started coverage on KMB with a "Market Perform" rating and a valuation range of $100-$103. This range suggests up to a 9% upside from the stock's current price of $93.86. Analyst Chris Ferrara commented: "We believe that Kimberly-Clark (K-C) is the most improved, and one of the most underrated companies across the HPC group. Over the past 10 years, the company has built one of the more attractive developing markets businesses in the group, in our view, driving Kimberly-Clark International (KCI) to 36% of sales, up from just 22% a decade ago. Further, KCI is overweight the higher margin, faster growth personal care businesses, leading to a closing margin gap between developed and developing markets. However, K-C's gross margins are the lowest in the group, limiting flexibility when FX and commodity cost pressure emerge." Kimberly Clark shares were mostly flat during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is up 11% YTD.

    The Bottom Line
