The Home Depot, Inc. (HD) is a home improvement retailer that operates more than 2,200 home improvement warehouses. The company offers products including building materials, hand and power tools, and lawn and garden equipment. The company was established in 1978 and is headquartered just outside of Atlanta, GA. The Home Depot faces risks from intense competition and new competitors in the home improvement industry. The Home Depot has been paying dividends since 1993, and has been increasing them annually since then, except for 2008 and 2009, when the dividend remained stable. The Home Depot pays its dividends quarterly.
