CBRL Group (CBRL)--Commonly known as Cracker Barrel--is a chain of combined restaurants and gift stores. Cracker Barrel’s business is family and casual dining, as well as retail sales. Its restaurant segment drives the majority of its revenues and growth, with approximately 80% of revenues coming from restaurant sales. Cracker Barrel has a strong brand and a loyal customer base. Cracker Barrel was established in 1969 in Lebanon, Tenn. As of September 2012, Cracker Barrel has 630 locations in 42 states. Cracker Barrel operates in a highly competitive space, and its ability to generate revenue growth is driven by its ability to maintain its brand and win over customers. Cracker Barrel has been paying dividends since 1982 and has increased its dividends consecutively since 2003. Cracker Barrel pays dividends quarterly.
