As stocks have continued their climb higher and higher over the last decade, one debate has raged on among investors” Are stocks overpriced?

Certainly, valuations and multiples have expanded in the wake of rising share prices. The question remains whether or not changes to fundamentals have actually pushed down metrics to more acceptable levels.

According to financial advisor LPL Financial, the answer may be yes.

Looking at various metrics and historical averages, stocks today may not be that expensive after all. For investors, that means there could be plenty of room for stocks to run further as the economy continues to expand.
