We’ve been spoiled over the last few years. And that’s because inflation has been pretty darn tame. Overall, the slow and steady increase of prices for goods and services has been even lower than historical averages. Because of that, investors have been ignoring the problem since the end of the recession.

However, maybe we should be paying attention.

Thanks to a rising global economy, stronger demand for natural resources, and other factors, inflation has started to come back in a big way. For investors, that poses a big problem. The time to be looking at our former playbook could be drawing near.
