Bank of Nova Scotia: A Rare Blend of Value and Income

In the stock market, stocks are often grouped under one of three different classifications. Either a stock is a growth stock, a value stock, or an income stock, depending on the qualities the stock offers and the different types of investors who buy that particular stock. In rare cases, a company can be a mix of two of these qualities at the same time. That appears to be the case with The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS). Bank of Nova Scotia stock had a difficult year in 2015—the stock underperformed the broader indexes and its share price declined.
