December 28th, 2007

2:25 pm Est.

The Dow is down 12 points. The nasdaq is down 2 points. The S&P is flat. Oil is up $.79 to $97.41. Gold closed up $10.90 to $842.70. The 10yr. is 4.11%

The markets are seeing some red after the early headfake that it appears we may have had. There is some angst that Fund managers may start peeling off some of this year’s big winners as we go into Monday’s session. We’ll be on the lookout for that. Some traders like to anticipate and that is part of what I do. I also like to react and see what the market and the tape are telling us. You have to remember the market will never keep repeating the same thing over and over for years. Too many traders would catch on and that strategy naturally becomes less effective. Check out the earlier post for some trading ideas. Again, no reason to make major bets on a friday afternoon with one day left in the trading year. We’ll be back in a bit.
