1. TJX Tops Q2 EPS

Earnings

TJX Companies (TJX ) reported Q2 EPS of $0.80, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.76.

Revenue

Revenue for the quarter came in at $7.4 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $7.26 billion.

Outlook

TJX sees FY2015 EPS of $3.24-$3.28, versus prior guidance of $3.21-$3.27 and the consensus of $3.30. The company also sees Q3 2015 EPS of $0.80-$0.82, versus the consensus of $0.89.

2. Home Depot Reports In-Line Q2 EPS

Earnings

Home Depot (HD ) reported Q2 EPS of $1.71, in-line with the analyst estimate of $1.71.

Revenue

Revenue for the quarter came in at $24.83 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $24.71 billion. Comps rose 4.2%, versus estimates calling for a 3.5% gain.

Outlook

The company raised its fiscal 2015 sales guidance and now expects sales will grow in a range of approximately 5.2%-6% and comp sales will grow in a range of approximately 4.1%-4.9%. The company also raised its diluted earnings-per-share guidance for the year and now expects diluted EPS to grow in a range of approximately 13%-14% from fiscal 2014 to $5.31-$5.36.

3. Wal-Mart Misses Q2 EPS

Earnings

Wal-Mart (WMT ) reported Q2 EPS of $1.08, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.12.

Revenue

Revenue for the quarter came in at $120.2 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $119.77 billion. On a constant currency basis, total revenue was $124.5 billion.

Outlook

Wal-Mart updated full year EPS guidance to a range of $4.40-$4.70, from a previous range of $4.70-$5.05 and the consensus of $4.77. This range includes Q3 EPS guidance of $0.93-$1.05, versus the consensus of $1.08.

4. Dick's Sporting Goods Tops Q2 EPS

Earnings

Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS ) reported Q2 EPS of $0.77, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.75.

Revenue

Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.82 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $1.83 billion.

Outlook

Dick’s Sporting Goods sees FY2015 EPS of $3.13-$3.21.

5. Navios Maritime Acquisition Tops Q2 EPS

Navios Maritime Acquisition (NNA ) reported Q2 EPS of $0.14, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.13.
