Omnicom Group Q1 Profit Rises Slightly; EPS Tops Views, Revenue Misses (OMC)
Before the opening bell on Thursday, global marketing and corporate communications company Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) reported higher profit and revenue in the first quarter.
The New York-based company said its first quarter net income rose slightly to $205.1 million, or 76 cents per share, from $204.6 million, or 72 cents per, share last year. According to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, the company was expected to earn 75 cents per share in the quarter.
The company’s quarterly revenue was up to $3.398 billion from $3.307 billion last year. This was below analysts’ expectation of $3.41 billion.
Omnicom Group shares were inactive during pre-market trading on Thursday. The stock is up +18.61% year-to-date.
