C.H. Robinson Sees Higher Earnings; Misses Estimates (CHRW)
Logistics company, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc.(CHRW



) reported increased Q4 earnings on Wednesday, missing analysts estimates.
The Eden Prairie, MN based company reported fourth quarter profit of $356.39 million, or $1.58 per share, up 69% from $109.21 million, or 67 cents per share last year. Adjusted earnings were $108.57 million, or 68 cents per share, missing analysts estimate of 70 cents per share.
Revenue was $2.97 billion for the quarter, a 13% increase from $2.57 billion last year. Analysts expected to see $2.87 billion in revenue.
Included in the company’s Q4 revenue was a 14.1% upside in transportation sales as well as a 7.1% increase in the trucking business. Additionally, the ocean division grew by 98%, while the air division increased 81%. On the downside, intermodal sales declined -11.6%
C.H. Robinson Worldwide shares were down -$4.53, or -6.76% during premarket trading Wednesday. The stock has increased 4% in the past year.
