  • Deutsche Bank Upgrades ARM Holdings to "Buy" (ARMH)

Deutsche Bank announced on Friday that it has upgraded microprocessor maker ARM Holdings plc (ARMH) . The firm has raised its rating on ARMH from "Hold" to "Buy." Analyst Kai Korschelt commented: "ARM’s shares have lost ~20% since their peak in May 2013 due to 2 main concerns: 1) Market share loss to Intel following its new Silvermont mobile architecture launch and winning a tablet design with Samsung. 2) Signs of slowing high-end smartphone growth. As our analysis suggests a limited impact on ARM’s EPS growth even if Intel gains 10% unit share by 2016 and we deem a high-end slowdown as largely in the price, we upgrade to Buy." ARM Holdings shares were up 35 cents, or 0.86%, during pre-market trading Friday. The stock is up 8% YTD. The Bottom Line Shares of ARM Holdings plc (ARMH) have a 0.49% yield based on Thursday's closing price of $40.87. • Benchmark Upgrades ARM Holdings to "Buy" (ARMH)

Analysts at Benchmark upgraded microprocessor maker ARM Holdings plc (ARMH) on Wednesday, saying that the stock's recent sell-off creates an attractive buying opportunity for investors. The analysts upgraded ARMH from "Hold" to "Buy" and now see shares reaching $45, up from the previous price target of $44. This new price target suggests a 24% upside to the stock's Tuesday closing price of $36.31. "ARM shares were priced for perfection at the peak of $50.56. More recently, the Intel camp has achieved some design wins in the tablet market. NVIDIA has talked about licensing GPU technology, thus potentially competing with ARM Mali and Imagination’s PowerVR GPU IP. There have also been fears that the smart phone market growth is going to be increasingly fueled by sub-$100 smart phones, which may hurt ARM’s royalty rate per unit. We think these bear-case concerns are valid; however, these risks for ARM have always existed and perception is the main item that has changed within the past five weeks," said Benchmark analyst Gary Mobley. ARM Holdings shares were up 39 cents, or 1.07%, during pre-market trading on Wednesday. The stock is down 4.02% year-to-date. The Bottom Line Shares of ARM Holdings (ARMH) have a dividend yield of 0.66% based on last night's closing price of $36.31 and the company's annualized dividend payout of 24 cents per share. ARM Holdings plc (ARMH) is not recommended at this time, holding a Dividend.com DARS™ Rating of 3.4 out of 5 stars.
