  • Rollins Reports Rise in Q2 Profits (ROL)

    Pest and termite control services Rollins, Inc. (ROL) reported its second quarter financial results on Wednesday. The Atlanta, GA-based company reported second quarter earnings of $36 million, or 25 cents per share, up 9% from $33.1 million, or 23 cents per share, a year ago. Analysts expected to see earnings of 25 cents per share. Total revenue for the quarter rose 5% to $350.8 million, from $334.9 million in the second quarter of 2012. Analysts expected to see revenue of $352.54 million. Gary W. Rollins, Vice Chairman and CEO of Rollins noted, "we are very pleased with the solid financial results our Company reported for the second quarter. We are particularly pleased about the growth we experienced in revenues, which accelerated over our first quarter. This improvement reflects the positive impact of our new marketing and sales programs." Rollins shares were down $2.25, or 8.12%, during Wednesday morning trading. The stock is up 16% YTD.
