Graham Corp Can "Refine" Your Portfolio (GHM)Jul 15, 2008Graham Corp (GHM) , supplier of gear for building or upgrading oil refineries, has seen shares rocket up over 250% in the last year. The company can credit rising demand, which is making refiners scramble to process more sour crude. Graham controls about 3/4 of the market share in the U.S. with its oil-refining products. The company's products lines include ejector systems, vacuum and heat exchanges which are used to separate crude oil into various grades of fuel and other petroleum-based products. Some of Graham Corp's main clients are engineering companies like Fluor (FLR) and Jacobs Engineering (JEC), whose stocks are also flourishing. Investors may want to be careful and not chase shares of Graham right now. We like the stock, but we think the smarter play is to wait for a pullback before committing capital. The dividend yield of .14% (based on last night's closing price of $88.05) is hardly enough to cushion any steep drop. Graham Corp (GHM) is a “Recommended” dividend stock, currently holding a Dividend.com rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars.
