Hillshire Brands Co. (formerly Sara Lee) produces meat products and frozen desserts. Its brands include Jimmy Dean, State Fair, Ball Park, and Hillshire Farm. The company is based in Downer's Grove, IL. Hillshire Brands is largely affected by fluctuations in agricultural commodity costs, as well as consumers’ perception of its brands and products. As well, Hillshire Brands is heavily reliant on certain customers, such as Wal-Mart, which accounts for approximately 25% of its net sales. Hillshire Brands has been paying a dividend since 2012, and has increased its dividend annually since then. Hillshire Brands pays its dividends quarterly. Hillshire Brands was acquired by Tyson Foods for $63 a share in July 2014.
