Global Hunter Securities Upgrades EV Energy Partners (EVEP)Jun 12, 2013Global Hunter Securities revised its outlook for EV Energy Partners L.P. (EVEP) on Wednesday, upgrading the Houston-based energy company from "Neutral" to "Buy." Bernard Colson, an analyst with the firm, commented, "Our $42 price target is composed of $24 for the base business, $12 for the Utica acreage and $6 for the MLP's Utica midstream investments. In addition, despite the 0.65x distribution coverage reported in Q1, we believe the distribution is sustainable at the current level, meaning EVEP's current 8.8% yield should serve as a solid valuation foundation as the company works through the process of selling the Utica acreage, redeploying the proceeds and investing in and monetizing midstream". EV Energy Partners shares crept lower on Wednesday, shedding 0.20% on the day. The stock is down 38% YTD. The Bottom Line Shares of EV Energy Partners L.P. (EVEP) have a 8.81% yield, based on Wednesday's closing price of $34.84. EV Energy Partners L.P. (EVEP) is not recommended at this time, holding a Dividend.com DARS™ Rating of 3.1 out of 5 stars.
