Penn Virginia LP- (PVR)- engages in managing coal properties in the United States. It also engages in gathering and processing natural gas. The company operates in two segments, Coal and Natural Gas Midstream. As of December 31, 2006 the company owned and operated midstream assets that include approximately 3,631 miles of natural gas gathering pipelines; and 3 natural gas processing facilities located in Oklahoma and the panhandle of Texas, which have 160 million cubic feet per day of total capacity. The company was founded in 2001 and is based in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
