There is a general misconception about dividend stocks that they are “boring” or simply don’t perform as well as growth stocks. The company was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Redding, California. Northrim Bancorp- (NRIM)-provides a range of banking products and services to businesses, professionals, and individuals in Alaska. As of March 31, 2007, Northrim BanCorp operated 10 branches in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Eagle River, and Wasilla, Alaska. The company was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. Northwest Bancorp- (NWSB)-offers various banking and consumer finance services. As of December 31, 2006, Northwest Savings Bank had 160 community-banking offices in Pennsylvania, western New York, eastern Ohio, Maryland, and Florida. It also operated 49 consumer lending offices in Pennsylvania and 2 consumer lending offices in New York. Northwest Bancorp was founded in 1896 and is headquartered in Warren, Pennsylvania. Northwestern Corporation- (NWE)-provides electricity and natural gas in Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska. As of December 31, 2007, it served approximately 650,000 customers. The company was founded in 1923 and is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Ntelos Holdings Corp- (NTLS)-provides integrated communications services in the United States. It offers a range of wireless and wireline communications products and services to businesses, telecommunications carriers, and residential customers under the NTELOS brand name in Virginia, West Virginia, and surrounding states. As of December 31, 2006, the company operated 45,281 rural local exchange carrier telephone access lines, and 46,781 competitive local exchange carrier telephone access lines, as well as 17,177 broadband access connections. NTELOS Holdings has a strategic network alliance with Sprint Nextel. The company was founded in 1897 and is headquartered in Waynesboro, Virginia. National Beverage Corp- (FIZZ)-engages in the development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of soft drinks, juice drinks, water, sparkling waters, and specialty beverages in the United States. National Beverage Corp. was founded in 1985 and is based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
