DHL Shutdown May Boost FedEx and UPS Long-Term (FDX, UPS)

Deutsche Post AG is shutting down all of its DHL Express service centers, which eliminates 9,500 jobs in the United States. The company is eliminating U.S.-only domestic express shipping by land and air.

    It should help, but DHL had only a small market share anyway. FedEx already closed 20 stores this year and UPS is down as well. What makes you think this can’t happen to FedEx and UPS also? Whoever thought that Postal Service would be the “reliable” shipper during the holidays! The Postal Service may be losing money, but service won’t be interuprted. They can’t even strike!
