Medtronic’s Q1 Profit Sinks 38% on Lawsuit, Adjusted Net Beats View (MDT)

Medical technology company Medtronic, Inc. (MDT) said Tuesday that its fiscal first quarter profit fell 38% from last year, hurt by one-time charges related to a patent infringement lawsuit with rival Abbott Laboratories (ABT).
